Photo Friday – messages from the streets of Palestine

May 15 marked the 66th year since two-thirds of the Palestinian population fled or were expelled from their homes preceding Israel’s declaration of independence. Palestinians call it Al Nakba – the catastrophe. Whilst walking the streets of Palestine between 2011 and 2013, I heard the messages of ordinary Palestinians I would never meet. But through the writing and drawings througout their neighbourhoods or on the walls built to close them in or out of their land, we get a glimpse of what they are feeling.
